Joan is a Catalan writer/director based in New York, where he moved to develop his first feature-length screenplay thanks to a Fulbright fellowship.

He has collaborated with international clients such as Netflix, UMG, Sony Music, Google, Condé Nast, Samsung, Canon, Audi, Hyundai, Airbnb, and VICE, amongst many others. His work has been screened at international venues like Anthology Film Archives (New York), Young Director Award (Cannes), La Jolla Fashion Film Festival (California), EnergaCAMERIMAGE (Poland), El Ojo de Iberoamérica (Buenos Aires), and Shiny Awards (London), and has been featured in numerous publications including Director’s Library, Director’s Notes, Booooooom.tv, Film Shortage, and Vimeo Staff Pick. Joan’s work focuses on the search for beauty in the mundane, while he keeps looking for the union between aesthetics and reality in the same shot.
